As you know, there are computer games with the theme "Amusement parks" or "Amusement parks," such as Rollercoaster TycoonPlanet Coaster or Carnival.

There are also attractions or theme parks in computer or console games that do not have the theme of amusement parks or fairgrounds. Because the creators chose this as a set for certain missions. Often unexpected, but always a pleasant surprise.

As a backdrop, so-called "forsaken" and "forsaken" amusement parks are also used with broken attractions (and parts), creating a grim and special atmosphere. An ideal setting for horror- Games.

I personally think that's the most beautiful fairground creation the Danish block company, taking into account the details. You got to pay a few bucks for it. The basic version can be driven manually, in other words: The carousel turns when you turn a handle. If you want the mill to run electronically, there are possibilities for expansion, provided an additional price. Lego proposes its own power system: The Power Function.

Wist je dat De Efteling in 2008 het pc-game Efteling Tycoon had uitbracht, in samenwerking met Atari? Inderdaad: Atari van het bekende ‘Rollercoaster Tycoon 3‘. De release van het spel werd meermaals uitgesteld, om uiteindelijk toch uit te komen. De fans waren blij, maar eens gekocht en geïnstalleerd, vielen de lijken uit de kast.

Men bleek niet enkel een supersterke pc nodig te hebben om het spel te kunnen draaien (de systeemeisen waren hoog); ook de graphics waren – op zijn mooist gezegd – afgrijselijk.

Na een klachtenregen besloot Atari een lading spellen uit de rekken te halen, om ze er later weer in te leggen. Nu mét nieuwe cover, waarop de boodschap Let op de systeemeisen geen extra uitleg nodig had.

Ondanks deze re-release waren er (sindsdien) enkel maar negatieve reacties te lezen. Of zouden jullie dit spel anno 2026 tóch nog een kans durven geven…?

Even terug in de tijd.

In Amerika konden ze er al van genieten sinds 25 oktober en in Europa iets later, waar de release van Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 ’s tweede uitbreidingspakket ‘Wild 3’ vanaf 4 november 2005 in de rekken lag.

Fans zaten hier duidelijk op te wachten om hun pretparken nog wat extra features geven.

Waar de eerste uitbreiding, ‘Soaked!’, heel wat water-elementen aanbrengt, geeft ‘Wild!’ je alle mogelijkheden om een dierentuin in je park op te nemen. En als het ware je eigen Bellewaerde te bouwen.

Vele bewegende diersoorten en planten, speciale rollercoasters en vele nieuwe attracties in dit derde deel. Leuke aanvulling voor die tijd!

Hoe compleet de spellen van Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 ook leken; ze beschikten nog niet over álle features die je tegenwoordig in pretparken kan terugvinden. Ik heb het bijvoorbeeld over hotels. Huidige games zoals Planet Coaster lijken hier intussen wél aan te voldoen.
