Plopsa Hotel

A while back, I visited the Plopsaland hotel in De Panne, by the sea. Although I can be a bit critical at times, I have to admit: I highly recommend it!

If you book a room themed around the Studio 100 characters, you’ll often pay a bit more, but which “themed” rooms are still affordable these days? We opted for the standard theater room, and it was perfectly fine.

Also worth mentioning is the restaurant buffet: a wide selection for both adults and children. Of course, a visit from your favorite Plopsa characters is a must.

Another tip: keep an eye out for all hotel and amusement park discounts, including those on http://www.plopsa.be.

Druk in De Tovertuin?

I became an amusement park assistant!

Yep, you read that right. On April 9, 2011, when the new season kicked off at most amusement parks, I started working at Bobbejaanland. They say blood is thicker than water. I became a seasonal employee through a temp agency, working until November 6, six days a week.

BJL was celebrating its 50th anniversary at the time, and there was a lot of work underway. The highlight of 2011 was “Dizz,” a new spinning coaster.

“Casio” or “Soaked”?

I once faced a tough decision: should I buy the Casio keyboard(model WK-3200) for 448 euros, or not?

By thinking first and then deciding, I acted on what seemed best to me. Namely, saving up the money to buy a better and different model than my current WK-1200 later on. In my opinion, the two models aren’t different enough to justify spending that much money on one of them.

Since I was at Makro anyway, I decided to buy the expansion pack for Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 for 30 euros, called “Soaked” or “Dolle Waterpret.”
For a moment, I was worried my PC wouldn’t recognize the game, but apparently that wasn’t a problem.

So I was able to fill my dull, wintery moments by building summer water parks.
