No carnival attraction without music, jingles, sound effects and live microphone sound. Maybe you've been wondering: How does all that happy carnival sound even come about?
Insert a flash drive with your favorite MP3 drives and play them through your boxes: It's possible, but it's kind of boring for a carnival attraction. Nowadays, there is such a thing as "ExploboxA company that has been offering hard and software for more than ten years to seamlessly combine everything related to sound experience.
Explobox offers the carnival operator a convenient overview between jingles and music, where the music is muffled by default if something is said in the microphone (see picture). Jingles are short sound fragments (instrumental and/or text) to make certain things clear to visitors. Some kind of unwritten sound-language that says, for example, The ride starts, the ride is over, the attraction goes into full power. Or who doesn't know these typical tunes, echoing like an echo?
"Careers at the register!" and "Watch out, we're going to start!"
All in one.
If you want to run the Explobox software on your own PC and control it via your own monitor, that is perfectly possible. The company also offers a special Explobox Touch. With a touchscreen and external button tray. In addition, other extensions are possible, even via foot pedals.
Multitasking!
You already understand: operating such a carnival attraction is more than just pressing a button. It's a true ordeal in multitasking. As an operator, you can decide how far you want to go, although: the more versatile the attraction is (read: the more types of movements the machine can make), the more complex the operation. It is the unique combination of technique, special effects and everything related to sound, which makes an attraction experience so special. Between operation, the operator performs a not insignificant task: selling tickets to the front desk.
Check the cab
Anyone who wants to get an idea of what it's like in such an operating booth can actually discover a lot. Next to the famous on- and off-ride videos There are so-called ♪ Operator views ♪. Literally: a camera filming what the operator (the operator) does in his cabin, with the rotating attraction in the background. There is also a series of Computer games It's called "Virtual Rides." And maybe there's some operator who wants to let you into his cabin, if you ask this very kindly...?
